Digital Marketing 3 Day Workshop

This course covers basic digital marketing concepts and best practices (i.e. marketing, business promotion, market share, client segmentation, website, search engine, social media and email marketing) and how these concepts can be applied to an organization's website and other digital assets.

This course also covers the basics of the types of content that can be developed to drive traffic to your website.

The Digital Marketing 3 Day Workshop also discusses 3rd party tools you can use to complement digital marketing efforts to track and measure the performance of your campaigns and suggested best practices to drive traffic to your website.

An overview of the time and resources required to manage your digital assets, inbound marketing and linking building.

The instructor will use real world examples by using business owners’ in attendance websites to reference during each model.

Each day consist 45 minutes of lecture and 45 minutes of Q&A.

Prerequisites:

Basic business management understanding, has used the internet to purchase goods or services for themselves in the past and uses already the internet from a PC or mobile device to find information.

Search engine optimization for businesses.

General use of these tools and how they fit into a digital strategy.

Day 3 Modules:

Who is this course for?

A business owner interested in learning about marketing their business online and may not have a website yet. It is also for a business owner already operating a website and looking to expand their market to an audience who is searching for their goods or services online.

Expected Outcome:

  • Student will have a basic understanding of digital marketing concepts to apply directly on their own business website or on the future construction of a business website.
  • Student will be able to design a general digital strategy for their business. 
  • Business owner will also be ready to launch a digital marketing campaign for their business on their own or possess the knowledge to conduct a search for a consultant or full-time employee to manage their digital assets.

Website Builder Course

This course builds on the 3 Day Workshop modules and puts those digital marketing concepts into action, by leveraging the GoDaddy product “GoCentral Website Builder”. The course will be taught in 1 day over two hours.

Students will be taught how to build a website in under an hour and specifically how a site can be optimized applying the digital marketing best practices from the workshop.

The entire class will watch as the instructor builds a website and applies the digital marketing lessons. The course will be 75 minutes of lecture with 30 minutes of Q&A.

Prerequisites:

Have attended all the Digital Marketing 3 Day Workshop modules.

Module:

Date: April 24, 2018 - 6pm - 8pm

  • Instructor lead website builder course that explains how a website can be optimized for search engines, how to format images for websites, and how to develop content (copy) for the website.
  • During this course we will build a website for a restaurant and we will have a website prebuilt (designed prior to the course) using the same platform for a business that sells goods online.

Who is this course for?

A business owner interested in learning about marketing their business online and may not have a website yet. It is also for a business owner already operating a website and looking to expand their market to an audience who is searching for their goods or services online.

Expected Outcome:

  1. Student will have a basic understanding of building a website using GoCentral Website Builder from Go Daddy and how to apply digital marketing concepts to a website.
  2. Student will be able to identify areas on their own website of where they can optimize it for themselves or use the same GoDaddy platform to build a new website for their business.
  3. Students will also be ready to launch a digital marketing campaign for their business on their own or possess the knowledge to conduct a search for a consultant or full-time employee to manage their digital assets.

Course: One-on-One Coaching

By appointment between the dates of 4/17 - 4/30

This is additional / personalized coaching between the course instructor and small business owners who require specific attention. It is not intended to provide additional teaching, but to understand how to apply the course lecture to their business websites.

Prerequisites:

Have taken the Intro to Digital Marketing 3 Day Workshop (see above) or a solid understanding of how digital marketing works and how it can help their operation. A website in production or plans to start one soon and a domain name already registered or a name in mind. A list of items that represent the type of content they would like to have on their website (menu, photos, video, their story on paper and what they deem is their competitive advantage in their market).

Instructor will meet with small business owner for up to (3) 1-hour sessions.

Coaching Sessions:

  1. One on one Q&A, domain name selecting and registering for a domain, and digital asset audit.
  2. Coach will help to improve on work already started on their own and suggest areas of improvement to maximize success at converting visitors into sales.

 

Who is this course for?

A business owner who attended all 3 Days of the Intro to Digital Marketing Workshop but is experiencing technical difficulties with the implementation of acquired knowledge.

Expected Outcome:

Business owner will be ready to launch a digital marketing campaign for their business on their own or possess the knowledge to conduct a search for a consultant or full-time employee to manage their digital assets.

None

Hours:  3 hours per small business participant at a location agreed upon by the instructor and business (up to 10 businesses). Sessions are limited to 10 participants and registration will begin at the end of the 3 Day Workshop.

Printed handouts will be distributed and digital PDF versions in an eBook format will be available to download.

You do not need to bring anything other than something to take notes on.
