Website Builder Course

This course builds on the 3 Day Workshop modules and puts those digital marketing concepts into action, by leveraging the Square Space platform. The course will be taught in 1 day over two hours.

Students will be taught how to build a website in under an hour and specifically how a site can be optimized applying the digital marketing best practices from the workshop.

The entire class will watch as the instructor builds a website and applies the digital marketing lessons. The course will be 75 minutes of lecture with 30 minutes of Q&A.

Prerequisites:

Have attended all the Digital Marketing 3 Day Workshop modules.

Date: June 12, 2018 - 6pm - 8pm

  • Instructor lead website builder course that explains how a website can be optimized for search engines, how to format images for websites, and how to develop content (copy) for the website.
  • During this course we will build a website for a restaurant and we will have a website prebuilt (designed prior to the course) using the same platform for a business that sells goods online.

Who is this course for?

A business owner interested in learning about marketing their business online and may not have a website yet. It is also for a business owner already operating a website and looking to expand their market to an audience who is searching for their goods or services online.

Expected Outcome:

  1. Student will have a basic understanding of building a website using GoCentral Website Builder from Go Daddy and how to apply digital marketing concepts to a website.
  2. Student will be able to identify areas on their own website of where they can optimize it for themselves or use the same GoDaddy platform to build a new website for their business.
  3. Students will also be ready to launch a digital marketing campaign for their business on their own or possess the knowledge to conduct a search for a consultant or full-time employee to manage their digital assets.

Course: Digital Marketing Crowdsourcing Sessions (Group Coaching)

This course builds on the Website Builder course and puts those concepts into action, by allowing business owners to learn and provide feedback to their peers. It serves as sets of group coaching sessions. The crowdsourcing session will be held over 2 days for 2 hours per day.

  1. (6) Businesses per session (20 minutes each business) will be selected to share with the instructor what they have applied to their websites or discuss how they plan on developing their website. Other businesses will be in attendance watching as the instructor provides technical feedback on how the business owner can improve their website to maximize its online visibility and to leverage the lessons taught in the workshop.
  2. During the allotted 20 minutes, business owners will also have the opportunity received feedback from their peers in attendance, on how they view the product or service from a consumer’s point of view.
  3. Q&A for the remaining time.

Have attended all the Digital Marketing 3 Day Workshop modules and Website Builder Course.

It is also for a business owner already operating a website and looking to expand their market to an audience who is searching for their goods or services online.

Expected Outcome:

  1. Students will have a solid understanding of what digital content they need to develop to publish on their website and how to position it according to their business plan.
  2. Students will also be ready to launch a digital marketing campaign for their business on their own or possess the knowledge to conduct a search for a consultant or full-time employee to manage their digital assets.

You do not need to bring anything other than something to take notes on.
